Consumer fraud and deceptive trade practices may be prosecuted via civil process, through the criminal justice system, or via a mixture of both routes.  With jurisdiction, frameworks and approaches differing between countries, the Consumer Protection Network aims to support prosecutors to share ideas, expertise and experiences to enable them to better prosecute conduct which causes harm to consumers
